Delivery & Installation Guidelines

Shipping Policy

Effective Date: 17 July 2025

At Wharf Containers, we are committed to delivering your containers and related products quickly, safely, and at the best possible cost. This Shipping Policy explains how we handle deliveries, shipping timelines, and customer responsibilities.

1. Order Processing

  • Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation.

  • Custom orders or modified containers may take longer to prepare. In such cases, we will provide you with an estimated timeline.

  • Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day.

2. Shipping Methods

We offer a variety of delivery options depending on your location and the type of container:

  • Local Delivery (within [insert country/region]): Delivered by truck or crane service directly to your site.

  • Regional & International Delivery: Shipped via trucking, rail, or sea freight, depending on your destination.

  • Customer Pickup: You may arrange to pick up your container from our depot or warehouse.

3. Shipping Costs

  • Shipping fees vary based on container size, weight, destination, and delivery method.

  • Any applicable delivery or handling fees will be clearly communicated before finalizing your order.

  • For international shipments, customers are responsible for customs duties, import taxes, or other applicable charges.

4. Delivery Timeframes

  • Local deliveries: Typically within 3–7 business days after dispatch.

  • Regional deliveries: May take 7–14 business days.

  • International deliveries: Delivery times vary based on port schedules and customs clearance (generally 2–6 weeks).

We will provide tracking information or delivery updates as soon as your order has been dispatched.

5. Delivery & Installation Guidelines

To ensure smooth delivery and placement of your container(s), please review the following requirements:

a) Site Preparation

  • The delivery site must be level, stable, and accessible for heavy trucks and equipment.

  • Please ensure there is enough clearance space for delivery vehicles (both in width and height).

  • Surfaces should be firm (concrete, compacted gravel, or asphalt). Soft ground or uneven terrain may result in delivery delays or additional costs.

b) Offloading & Placement

  • Containers are typically delivered using tilt-bed trucks, flatbeds, or cranes, depending on container size and site conditions.

  • If crane services are required, arrangements can be made through Wharf Containers or by the customer.

  • The customer is responsible for ensuring there is safe access for cranes/trucks at the site.

c) Customer Responsibilities

  • A representative must be present during delivery to confirm placement and sign off on delivery documentation.

  • If the site is inaccessible or unprepared, resulting in failed delivery, additional redelivery charges may apply.

  • Wharf Containers is not responsible for damage to underground utilities, landscaping, or driveways if delivery conditions are not properly prepared.

6. Damaged or Missing Items

  • Please inspect your order at the time of delivery.

  • If you notice visible damage, note it on the delivery receipt and contact us immediately at info@wharfcontainers.com.

  • Claims for damaged or missing items must be made within 48 hours of delivery.

7. International Shipping

  • For overseas orders, we comply with all standard shipping practices and documentation requirements.

  • Customers are responsible for import duties, customs clearance, and compliance with local regulations.

8. Changes to Shipping Policy

We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the “Last Updated” date.
